COPAP REPORTS RECORD RESULTS FOR FIRST QUARTER OF 2010

AND FISCAL YEAR 2009

Pointe-Claire, Québec, May 13, 2010 – Copap Inc. announced sales of USD 60 million for the first quarter ended March 31, 2010, a 30% increase over the USD 46 million it reported for the first quarter of 2009.

For the fiscal year ended December 31, 2009, Copap declared total sales of USD 217 million, an increase of 1.5% over its 2008 figure of USD 214 million. “Given the very tough economic climate globally, especially in the pulp and paper sector, we are very pleased with these results,” said Copap’s President David Sela. He added that “They clearly show that our 37% increase in sales in 2008 was due to solid market penetration, which helped us maintain our growth in 2009 despite the world economic crisis. The sharp rise in Copap’s sales over the last two years is largely due to our much greater market share in South America and the USA, to our continued leadership in Europe, and the success of Jinpap Trading, our new Chinese division.”

Outlook

According to Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer Laurent J. Barbé, this positive first quarter is the result of Copap’s timely business strategy, which builds on its in-depth market knowledge, global footprint, and the forging of new alliances, notably in Asia. The economic recovery that we are seeing around the world means that Copap should keep right on growing through 2010.
